Cosplay Contest Regulations

1. Introduction

The Cosplay Contest is part of the League of Legends Championship Pacific Final Weekends 2025. The contest aims to create a vibrant space connecting eSports with pop culture, offering a stage for young enthusiasts to transform into their favorite characters from the game League of Legends.

2. Eligibility

The contest is open to individuals passionate about cosplay who are currently residing in Vietnam and are at least 15 years old as of the date of the live competition. Group registrations will not be accepted.

4. Contest rules

4.1. Registration Round:

The entry submission must include::

  • 01 album containing a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 10 images (excluding short videos and GIFs) featuring characters from the League of Legends universe.
  • Photo format: “.jpeg” or “.jpg”, with a maximum file size of 2MB.
  • Entries containing inappropriate, sexually explicit, or overly revealing content will not be accepted.
  • Images must not display logos, trademarks, or products of other brands.
  • Submitted photos must be the contestant’s own original work, free from any disputes over copyright, trademarks, portrait rights, privacy rights, or intellectual property rights. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to request original files in case of copyright or ownership disputes.
  • Contestants must also attach a brief description of the cosplay set (character name with outfit description if applicable, League of Legends universe, message/theme, etc.), with a maximum of 200 words.

4.2. Voting Round:

  • Entries that meet all competition requirements will be published on the official website for public voting.
  • The voting period will be announced to contestants by the Organizing Committee.
  • Each voter may vote for multiple entries, but may only vote once per entry per day during the voting period.

4.3. Final Round:
Announcement of the Top 10 Finalists

  • 03 entries with the highest number of public votes (100% public voting).
  • 07 entries with the highest overall scores (Final Score = 60% Judges’ Score + 40% Public Vote).

Stage Performance

  • The Top 10 finalists will perform live on the main stage as part of the event. Each finalist may be accompanied by one assistant.
  • Each finalist will deliver an individual catwalk performance lasting up to 2 minutes, set to background music prepared by the Organizing Committee. The performance should include acting to portray the signature actions of the character. Props are allowed up to a maximum height of 1.5 meters and must not be sharp.
  • The Judges’ Panel will score the performances and determine the winners of First, Second, and Third Prizes, which will be awarded live on stage.
  • Date & Venue: September 21, 2025, at Tien Son Sports Complex, Da Nang City.

Scoring Guidelines:

Criteria Details
Character Accuracy (60 points) Costume, hairstyle, accessories, and makeup closely match the original version or a creative variation that still clearly identifies the League of Legends character.
Stage Presence & Expression (30  points) Movement, posing, facial expressions, and interaction with the audience that convey the essence and spirit of the character.
Creativity & Craftsmanship (10 points) Quality of materials, costume/prop-making techniques, and unique creative touches that stand out and are not duplicated.

6. Prize Structure

  • 01 First Prize: VND 10,000,000 in cash + Trophy Plaque + Sponsor Gifts
  • 01 Second Prize: VND 5,000,000 in cash + Trophy Plaque + Sponsor Gifts
  • 01 Third Prize: VND 3,000,000 in cash + Trophy Plaque + Sponsor Gifts
  • 07 Consolation Prizes: VND 1,000,000 in cash + Trophy Plaque + Sponsor Gifts

7. Terms & Regulations

  • Finalists are permitted to bring one (01) assistant into the backstage and stage areas.
  • The assistant may perform tasks such as helping with costume changes, makeup, carrying props, and adjusting the costume before the contestant goes on stage.
  • Assistants are not allowed to participate in the stage performance with the contestant.
  • Both the contestant and the assistant must wear the identification badge provided by the Organizing Committee (OC) to access the backstage area and must comply with all backstage and movement area regulations as required by the OC.
  • The OC will not accept entries containing images that are inappropriate, violate cultural norms, are politically subversive, incite violence, relate to religious or ethnic conflicts, or are otherwise in violation of Vietnamese law.
  • Contestants are solely responsible for the ownership rights to their submissions and must ensure they are free from any disputes regarding copyright, trademarks, portrait rights, privacy rights, and intellectual property rights. Any contestant found to be engaging in fraudulent behavior will be disqualified.
  • The OC bears no responsibility for any disputes related to ownership or copyright of the submitted works.
  • By participating in this contest, and in accordance with Vietnamese law, contestants agree to grant the OC the right to: Publish or authorize others to publish the submitted work; Present the submitted work to the public; Distribute the submitted work to the public via wired, wireless, electronic networks, or any other technical means.
  • In cases where a prize has already been awarded but subsequent complaints arise regarding the concept or images, the prize recipient will be solely responsible for resolving all related claims.
  • Prize winners are responsible for any personal income taxes arising from their winnings, in accordance with legal regulations.
  • For any matters arising before, during, or after the contest that are not covered in these regulations, the OC reserves the right to make the final decision.
  • All individuals participating in the contest are deemed to have agreed to and will abide by these Terms & Regulations.
